The role

As US SDR Manager at Summize you will be responsible for driving the success of our team of US Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) across both the East and West coast territories by providing them with dedicated leadership, guidance, coaching and support.

You will also work closely with our VP of Business Development to drive our global sales strategy across the US region to ensure that our outbound strategy delivers high quality and predictable pipeline results.

Key responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Lead, grow, and develop a high-performing SDR team that consistently meets and exceeds ambitious pipeline generation goals.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and onboarding of top-tier sales talent, while leveraging our career development framework to support internal growth and long-term retention.
  • Cultivate a results-oriented, high-energy team culture that reflects Summize’s core values and emphasizes collaboration and accountability.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Business Development to refine existing sales playbooks and introduce new strategies that drive onboarding efficiency and scalable success.

Pipeline Generation & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Own responsibility for pipeline creation across the SDR function, ensuring outbound activity drives consistent, high-quality opportunities that contribute meaningfully to revenue.
  • Work closely with Account Executives, Sales Leadership, and Marketing (especially in the US) to ensure smooth lead transitions, strategic territory alignment, and effective campaign execution.
  • Establish and reinforce performance standards across key metrics — including activity volume, conversion rates, SQLs, and influence on closed-won deals — while holding the team accountable to targets.

Processes, Tools & Sales Operations

  • Architect scalable and repeatable outbound processes for different customer segments and regions, in collaboration with Revenue Operations.
  • Utilize our sales enablement tools (HubSpot, Gong, Cognism, ZoomInfo, etc.) to streamline workflows and enhance prospecting output.
  • Partner with RevOps to ensure robust and accurate reporting on SDR performance, using data to inform both strategic and tactical improvements.
  • Regularly review and optimize workflows to increase outreach volume, personalization, and conversion across all outbound efforts.

Coaching & Execution

  • Provide hands-on training and tailored coaching to SDRs, focusing on objection handling, sales messaging, and effective qualification to build team confidence and skill.
  • Lead a culture of continuous testing and iteration — refining sequences, experimenting with multichannel outreach, and optimizing messaging for higher engagement and ROI.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven and successful background in a in high-volume BDR/SDR (Outbound), AE, or Business Development role with further demonstrable experience in a management role.
  • Proven track record of scaling sales development teams while achieving ambitious pipeline/revenue contribution targets.
  • Strong sales pedigree: deep understanding of sales qualification methodologies (BANT, MEDDIC, etc.) and outbound prospecting best practices.
  • Systems-savvy: expert in CRM, engagement tools, and sales automation; ability to architect efficient workflows, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Data-driven with a demonstrated ability to optimize for conversion, productivity, and ROI at scale.
  • Excellent communicator, motivator, and coach, capable of building trust with both executives and core sales teams including Account Executives and SDRs
  • Growth-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset with the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation sales environment.
