LDC top 50 most ambitious business leaders 2025: Tom Dunlop named as “One to Watch”

Now in its eighth year, the program celebrates the ambition, innovation and leadership of entrepreneurs who are making a difference across the UK.  

This year, the LDC received almost 700 nominations, showing the exceptional talent driving the country’s most exciting medium-sized businesses. The Ones to Watch category highlights leaders who are scaling their companies rapidly and showing true potential to achieve even more success in the years ahead.

Recognizing ambitious leadership

The LDC Top 50 list brings together business leaders who aren’t just growing successful companies but also creating jobs, championing sustainability and making a positive impact in their communities.  

Collectively, this year’s featured leaders represent businesses employing nearly 10,000 people and generating combined revenues of over £1.2 billion. This is a clear reflection of the creativity and resilience in the UK’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. We’re proud to be among other inspiring tech leaders like Denis Kaminskiy from Arcus Global, Pete Mills from Crysp and Ryan Swann from RiskSmart.

For Summize, this recognition celebrates our journey so far – from our beginnings in Manchester to becoming a fast-growing legal tech platform trusted by global organizations.

Tom’s journey with Summize

Since co-founding Summize, Tom has led the company with a clear mission: to create contract clarity for the whole company. Combining legal expertise with innovative technology means Summize has transformed the way teams create, manage, and understand their contracts.
