The role

In this role, you’ll help shape the user experience of our Summize products, working closely with Product Managers, and Software Engineers to solve meaningful user problems. You’ll contribute to the entire design process from discovery and ideation to prototyping and delivery.

This is a great opportunity for someone with some proven previous experience in a similar role who is ready to take on more ownership and work on a variety of product challenges in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities:

Day to day you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify user requirements, define problems, and design intuitive, accessible solutions.

• Working independently to translate requirements into wireframes, user flows, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.

• Partnering with software engineers to ensure accurate implementation of your designs.

• Using data (qualitative and quantitative) to inform and iterate on design decisions.

• Advocating for user-centred design principles throughout the product lifecycle.

• Participating in discovery and usability testing.

• Contributing to and maintain our design system and visual standards.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous proven experience in product design including UX/UI.

• Able to demonstrate thoughtful design processes, clean visuals, and measurable impact of your designs

• Proficiency using Figma

• Solid understanding of user-centred design principles, accessibility, and responsive design.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced agile environment.

• Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in design critiques.

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
