After a hugely successful year, we are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded Best In-house Marketing Team at this year’s Prolific North Marketing Awards.

The Prolific North Marketing Awards celebrates excellence, creativity and innovation within marketing industry in the North and we couldn’t be prouder of our marketing team for taking home the title.

Our marketing team of four is small but mighty, structured to cover content creation events, customer advocacy and digital lead generation. It’s headed up by Laura Proctor, VP of Marketing, who brings first-hand experience scaling high-growth technology businesses, such as Avecto (now BeyondTrust), AppLearn and Apadmi.

Following Laura’s appointment in January 2022, Summize embarked on a messaging-led rebrand, redesigning our overall approach to marketing. We set out to develop a cool, memorable brand in the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) space, a newly-established category largely unsaturated by true “digital disruptors”.  

The changes implemented by the marketing team gave Summize a clear messaging strategy and identity, moving away from a more playful brand focused on contract summaries, and firmly placing the brand as an AI-powered CLM provider with a unique approach.

The messaging project initiated a creative revamp across every piece of content, through to the website which was completely redesigned/rebuilt inhouse in just six weeks. The rebrand gave the marketing team an excellent platform for creating disruptive and engaging content going forward.

The results? Website traffic increased by 124% post rebrand, organic search traffic by 465% and the website health score achieved 92/100. In true Summize fashion, we’re still learning and improving all the time, but our 1% approach to small, regular changes and relentless focus on doing things differently drives a high-performing team at the heart of the business.

Our marketeers are a shining example of what can be achieved with limited resources when creativity and innovation is allowed to shine. This year, they have executed a game-changing approach to marketing through a complete transformation of the company identity, delivered industry-disrupting events, launched Summize’s own Legal Disrupters podcast series and executed a jam-packed content and campaign calendar.
